Nova Scotia, Canada and it's heating season!

Some folks have already made big strides in cutting back on power use...bulbs have been changed, electronic gadgets have been turned off.  Last year over 200 houses took part in the Cool Truro Energy Reduction contest for households.  Now they're asking businesses to follow their lead.  Businesses can take many of the same steps to reduce energy consumption.  You'll get lots of ideas at Conserve Nova Scotia's site.

Although this contest is all about conserving electricity keep in mind that that electricity is not the only precious resource!   Contest participants will also be judged on areas such as water conservation and waste management as well.
